Toyota has recalled 1.4-liter RNR tire from its RL RNR line of vehicles.
The tire, which is part of a line of fuel-injected tires, can emit nitrogen oxide, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).NHTAS said the tire had an air leak and a puncture.
Toyota said the recall covers a wide range of vehicles, including all models from the 2016-2018 RL series and models with the RL series RNR.
The RNR tires are also used on the 2016 Lexus RX100 and Lexus ES100, which are also affected.
NHTAS says the RNR can cause an engine failure.
Toyota did not say when the tire was first manufactured, how many were affected, or whether any other cars or trucks were affected.
