Goodyear is the “best in the world” manufacturer for 2018, according to a study from automotive consulting firm Edmunds.
Edmunds also rates Goodyear tires the best for the 2018 model year, which ends in January.
Edmund, a unit of the global carmaker, has a reputation for its research and development in the tire market.
Its tires for the 2017 model year came in at #5 on its best-seller list.
Goodyear has more than a billion tires on its books.
Goodyear has been in business for over 100 years, making it one of the oldest tire manufacturers.
The company has an active presence in the auto industry.
Goodyears tires are used in the tires of the Ford F-150, Ford F150 XL, Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry, Dodge Challenger, Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Altima, Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Escape, Nissan Rogue and many others.
Toyota’s Camry also uses Goodyear’s tires.
“Goodyear tires are among the best-selling tires on the market today, with an average retail price of $3.80 per tire,” Edmunds said.
In 2018, the average retail value of Goodyear products on the New York Stock Exchange rose nearly 7% to $3,945.
While Goodyear does not sell its tires in the United States, its tires are sold in Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union and Asia Pacific.
Ford has a loyal following among the American public and is among the largest tire makers in the U.S. Ford also has a large footprint in the consumer markets in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Other major manufacturers that have made good years include Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen.
