By Scott SmithThe Canadian Tire Tire and Rubber Co. is warning consumers that tire sizes vary from country to country and can be confusing.
“We have seen many tire manufacturers change tire sizes based on climate, weather and weather conditions,” says a release from the company.
“For instance, a warmer climate may result in a larger tire size compared to a colder climate.
This is the reason why some tires are not available in certain regions, and some are available only in certain areas.”
The Canadian tire company says that customers should check with their local tire shop before making a purchase and then consult the tire website for more information.
