Mastercraft has been forced to reduce prices of its tires after a massive price drop.
Walmart had announced a new price for tires that would save the retailer a whopping $3,000 per tire, with the manufacturer saying that this price drop would only be permanent.
The tires had previously been $14,500 for the season, which included the new price.
Mastercraft CEO Paul F. McLeod said the price drop is due to the company’s new tire technology.
McLeod said he doesn’t expect any new tires to come out for the summer season.
He noted that the tires already have some quality issues.
The company said it will continue to offer the tires at its regular price until the tires are fully replaced.
