I have to admit I am a bit skeptical about the tires being in production, but I will take the risk for the next 5 years.
The fact that they are in fact ready is just icing on the cake.
There are still a few technical hurdles to overcome.
They need to be tested for fatigue, wear and corrosion, etc. They should be used by people with less than perfect posture and a tendency to fall, but this will be the most important challenge to overcome so far.
I believe they will work well and have enough durability to handle the road.
The other big challenge is getting the tires to market quickly.
In the last 5 years, the market for BBS tires has expanded exponentially, and this has resulted in a significant increase in the price of the tire.
I don’t think the BBS tire is cheap, but it will be worth it in the long run.
